The 2024 EGU General Assembly gathered geoscientists from around the globe, focusing on all areas of Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The assembly provided a platform for scientists, particularly those in the early stages of their careers, to showcase their research and engage with experts across various geoscience disciplines.
The hybrid event organised, online & in-person, was attended by 20,979 registrants, with 18,388 in-person participants from 116 countries and 2,591 participating online from 109 countries.
The event featured 18,896 presentations across 1,044 sessions, with 57% of the submitted abstracts contributed by Early Career Scientists (ECS).
