We are proud to announce the creation of the GEO-Cluster, a collaborative platform that brings together European projects working at the intersection of geosciences, energy, environment, and innovation.
The GEO-Cluster was established to strengthen cooperation among Horizon Europe and related initiatives, creating a space where partners can share knowledge, align methodologies, and jointly address global challenges. By pooling expertise, we can go beyond the impact of individual projects and build a collective voice in shaping sustainable solutions for Europe and beyond.
Who is in Geo-Cluster?
Geo-Cluster, initiated by GEOSYN project, brings together 11 EU projects in colaborative network – GEOSYN, GEOS-TECHIS, GEOFLEXheat, INTERSTORES, RE-WITCH, HOCLOOP, USES4HEAT, URGENT, CoolLIFE, TREASURE and FlexGeo.
Why a Geo-Cluster?
Across Europe, many research and innovation projects are tackling similar challenges:
Energy transition and climate resilience
Sustainable land and water management
Advanced technologies for monitoring, storage, and efficiency
Policy support and stakeholder engagement
Instead of working in isolation, the GEO-Cluster offers a platform to connect, co-create, and collaborate. This network will facilitate joint events, knowledge exchange, and synergies that maximize the visibility and relevance of project outcomes.
First Steps
The cluster has launched a dedicated space on LinkedIn, where updates on activities, events, and results will be regularly shared. The first joint initiatives are already being prepared, including workshops, networking opportunities, and co-designed dissemination activities.
