A transfer site is a real European location where INTERSTORES can test its knowledge, methods, and storage concepts in another local context. The assessment helps understand technical relevance, replication potential and possible integration into local energy systems.

The wider purpose is to support technical, economic, spatial, legal and business analysis and help identify where sTES could be replicated across different sectors and European settings.

We are particularly interested in sites with available land, repurposable infrastructure, and proximity to a heat or waste-heat source/demand. These characteristics come directly from the transfer-site criteria described in the documents.
